AGC FIX-IN PR is a ready-to-use, solvent-free, water-borne primer designed for the preliminary treatment of porous substrates. It is used in combination with AGC FIX-IN SL silicone to ensure a strong and durable bond for a wide range of AGC's decorative glass products. It effectively binds dust, enhances adhesion, and dries to a transparent finish, preparing the surface for a perfect installation.

Applications

FIX-IN PR is the ideal primer for preparing absorbing and non-absorbing mineral surfaces before bonding AGC products such as Lacobel (T), Matelac (T), Mirox MNGE, and Mirox 4Green+ (with or without SAFE+ safety backing). It is also suitable for use on moisture-insensitive substrates like concrete and moisture-sensitive materials like wood, chipboard, and OSB boards. For indoor use only.

How to Use

1. Substrate Preparation:

Ensure the surface is even, dry, clean, and smooth. It must be free from dust, grease, and cracks.

Mechanically remove any old adhesive residues and degrease the surface.

Acclimatize the primer to room temperature and shake or stir it well before use.

2. Application:

Apply the primer undiluted using a paint roller or brush. Do not pour it directly onto the surface.

For very porous or highly absorbent substrates, a second coat is recommended. Wait for the first coat to dry completely before applying the next.

Allow the primer to dry completely before proceeding. Incomplete drying can lead to reduced adhesion.
